Women’s Winter Ayurveda Self-Care Retreat with Sohini Livewell at ProvidenceSat, Feb 16, 2019 at 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Ayurveda knows how important it is to stay balanced in every season…
According to the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda (also known as Yoga’s “sister science”), Winter is governed by Vata Dosha, the elemental force of ether and air that gives rise to creativity and spiritual growth.
In this nourishing Women’s Retreat, learn simple and practical tools to balance the natural forces of Vata Dosha. Explore Ayurvedic techniques and blessings, such as:
- calming your nervous system and connecting home to your heart
- drinking warm spiced tea to nourish the soul
- luxuriating in the Ayurvedic treatment of “Abhyanga” – a warming self-oil massage, infused with therapeutic herbs
- sharing amongst sisters while strengthening digestion, fostering immunity, boosting energy and improving complexion
Join Sohini Livewell, 500-HR Kripalu Yoga Specialist and Ayurvedic Health Consultant, to explore these essential daily self-care practices (known as “Dinacharya”) and develop a new relationship with the deep Winter months. All are welcome – No experience required.
Please bring socks, hat or bandana, loose clothes or shorts/tank top or bathing suit, and a towel. Pamphlets, warm oils and tea are provided.
